Rough Magic Performance Company hosts monthly play-readings focused on supporting women and non-binary-identified artists. This includes focusing on plays with multiple women characters, or cross-casting roles to give women more variety in the types of characters they get to read. The focus is always on community-building and creative exploration, without the pressure of a public performance. Plus it’s just a great time to drink wine (or sparkling water), eat cheese, and connect with other artists in a low-pressure environment.
